Endgame Preparation and Speedup

Hey guys. So we found out that once the team near the Temple of Earth crosses the sea and hands the engine to Cid in New Mysidia, the Enterprise will be repaired and all of the Heroes can be picked up. In the spirit of meeting the deadline, we can handwave the encounter with Deadpool and put up a log where everyone is together again.

We can still backlog NPC conversations and exploration, but it's important that we defeat the Archfiends before heading into the final dungeon.

So what I'm thinking is that we put up a reunion log - as everyone is bound to have figured out what happened in the past five years - and then split up to tackle bonus bosses, Archfiends, reports, and whatever NPCs there are. Here's a list:

• Archfiend of Earth (Deadpool, known)
  
• Archfiend of Fire (Ardyn, known?)
  
• Archfiend of Water (Hisui, known?)
  
• Archfiend of Wind (Ales, possible to guess who)
  
• Bonus Boss in Mythril Minds (need to ask head mod)
  
• Extra reports and research (One in Aqures Ixen, I believe)
  
• chat with whatever refugee NPCs you want

For the archfiends, I believe it's enough for each character to only tackle one, but anyone can explore anything. The deadline for starting Archfiend Temples is the 15th, so that's what I want to focus on first. Please Plot below what your character would share and what your plans are

Ales Mansay - Archfiend

Ales here is the Archfiend of Wind, so I won't have my other guys tackle him. There's a bit of a puzzle getting to his floating fortress and deal with him robots, but I have multiple methods so that any group composition can get there.

As things get worked out I'd like to have Mary involved in this run. If she can change her job or get in touch with the Assassins she'd have an airship to offer.

If we can figure out how we get items from our own worlds, Aang would have a sky bison ride to offer. (Or we figure out how to unlock the airbender flight skill, and with enough lift that Aang can carry someone who can teleport.)

So these people have the engine and will learn that Deadpool is the Archfiend of Earth. Once they bring the engine to Cid, the entire world will be open.

I'm good with Barkeep going to any Archfiend (except Ales) or bonus boss, but he won't care much for reports or research. If needed, he can also check out the refugee NPCs for fun.

Jade's available for any Archfiend fight, but Ales is the only one he has a personal connection to so he'd be my preferred choice. I can switch if healers are needed for the other ones, though!

Assuming the Soul Divider group updates him on the situation so he doesn't need to go there himself, Jade's most interested in checking out Aqures Ixen for the extra reports and research. I'm also thinking we should go explore the Fallen Ruins since that's the only location that hasn't been visited either before or after the apocalypse.

Unfortunately, neither of my non-Ales characters are interested in research, but Duster can check out the Fallen Ruins.

Albel would be interested in going with Jade to anywhere the Fallen Ruins once he's able to fix his gauntlet arm. He could use his workshop in Aqures Ixen while Jade does research stuff there, and then leave for Fallen Ruins after?

Swamp of Sorrow / Temple of Fire / Ardyn

I think our Swamp of Sorrow group might eventually end up at the Temple of Fire anyway so I guess anyone could reunite with them (Sephiroth, Yuna, Rikku & Moogle?) there??

Thoughts? I know I've been awful keeping up with this until now.

Should they ask, Cleitus will lead them to either the abandoned city wherein the Crystal of Fire resides or towards the group near the Forgotten Temple. He'd also show them where to best hideaway that they can tell others where to find them, and bypass Ardyn's patrols. He's been a very unfaithful moogle companion to his Hero...

(Don't worry; I haven't been doing so well lately, either.)

So this crew is/has gone through Esdham and will be doing a bossfight to unlock a new job.

I don't have any idea of how we're meeting up with the rest of you all after this though, but they do have the new mognet access. Any thoughts? Anyone who wants to meet up with them?

I'm down for Archfiend fights too. As I said above, I feel like Mary should go after Ales, and if she can get in touch with the Assassins and/or Bonnie she can provide an airship to the effort.

Apart from what my groups are up to on their own, once everyone gets back together this is what they're going to want to do:

Chiaki will be the most interested in joining in on any group pursuing sidequests of any sort, especially the ones that will unlock new Jobs, especially especially Savior of Worlds.

Levy would prefer to work on information gathering, translating reports, and other things of the sort.

Pyrrha is at your disposal for Archfiend fights, with no real preference as to which one.

Aang/Nanami/Tazendra

Aang would be happy to go tackle Ales due to his comfort with heights and air and stuff. If whatever equipment permits regains is in Aquares Ixen, Aang would go along.

Nanami could be talked along with anyone; she's more inclined to go with people she knows.

Tazendra does want to find out what's in the mines. As for which fiend, she's game for whoever needs a Crystal Knight. She has no personal stake or elemental affinity. (She does like Deadpool for inexplicable reasons, so would rather face someone else.)

Also, if someone wants custody of Momo, that would be great.

Deadpool: Is waiting for all challengers, baby! He's going to hit you with his badass moves and army of Marvel heroes. Because of this, none of my characters will be facing him.

Tsubomi: She's ready to help out wherever she can. If anything, she is feeling guilt over the fact that she chewed out Palitutu when she did help out.

Ruby: Is ready to fight and be the hero she's meant to be! This Will Be The Day we've waited for...

Sonic: Is also ready to fight. I'm gonna handwave him getting his Moogle back so he can charge in with Mecha Pilot and beat someone's head in.

Twilight:... I'm not sure right now.

She'll stick close to her main group for now as she starts preparing for the final battle.

Ira, Ardyn

Ira is available for anything and willing to help out wherever he can, though one of his main goals will be to visit as much of the map as he can so he can offer his Dark Corridor services. He'll likely join his mothers, but would likely go after Ales or Hisui.

Ardyn, for all anyone else knows, is holed up somewhere inside Old Mysidia, just waiting for someone foolish enough to go deep into the abandoned city's walls. If they can get past the former residents, first.

Ghost City Aqurex Ixen

Minato would rather go to the research in Aqurex Ixen than face allies-- which is, oops, exactly what is going to be happening here. I'll start up the toplevel for bringing up Aqurex Ixen in the endgame post, feel free to respond even if not among those going there.

I don't have any real plans for Santa at the moment. He will go after an archfiend, but I'm open to any of them. He met Deadpool earlier, but his destination will depend on where others end up. He will probably also want to swing by the Village of Santa, since he's heard his bank migrated there.

Temple of Water

Duster will likely head to Hisui and the Temple of Water. He'll be a Bard plus whatever else is needed. What are the plans so far?
