From the footprints, I wonder. I don't think we have anyone with a limp/prosthetics, but...
• Carrying a body could be altering the gait. I assume the police would account for that. • A character with non-humanoid feet wearing human shoes (Dylas, the ponies, etc.) could account for it. • Along the same reasoning, a character like Midna or Tazendra who is roughly humanoid but could be spotted by stride length could be trying to hide their height.
Initial thoughts: Dylas and Midna both have limit breaks that involve the berserk status. The ponies also lack arms, so it's hard to see how Shining or Twilight could break a neck in a way that wouldn't be obvious.
