Moderator Applications

Hello everyone! With the plot quickly evolving, a lot more mod interventions will be necessary. Not only for the events, but for player plots and initiatives that will be taken from now till the end of the game. Of course, handling the plot is a lot of responsibility. So if you'd like to help but don't think you could handle managing events, you can also help by reviewing the applications and keeping the various lists up to date. This will give less work and more freedom to the moderators taking care of the events.
The application process is going to be open from the 10th of September (today) to the 30th of September. We will then contact you within the first ten days of October, to tell you our decision. The application process is open to players who have been in the game for a total time of three months at least.
• Plot Mod
Being a moderator dedicated to the plot means the Head Mod would reveal to you everything about the plot: the secrets, the likeliest outcomes, the truth behind past events and the plot twists. But as a side effect, this means you will no longer be prioritized during events and you will have to be less involved than before, lest your knowledge as a Plot Mod gives you an unfair advantage over everyone else. This is a lot of responsibilities and in return, you may get less enjoyment out of the game as a player.
This being said, being a plot mod involves taking care of the following task:
- Playing NPCs during events (with instructions given to you beforehand).
- Handling the exploration / environment during events and some player plots.
- Handling the Job Requests, O'aka Purchases, Research Projects and Employment pages.
- Answering plot-related and non plot-related questions from the players.
- Participating in Mod Team discussions.
On top of that, you will be expected to conduct the same duties as a Helper Mod, and from time to time those from an App Mod. Whilst this is the position we need filled the most, this is also the trickiest: make sure you know what you're getting into if you decide to go for this!
• Helper Mod
Helper Mods are similar to Plot Mods, but they don't know the plot and therefore they are not limited in what they can do as players. It means they are far less involved in the handling of Events and Player Plots, but they can still help on occasions. From time to time, Helper Mods may be expected to do the duties reserved to App Mods as well. Being a helper mod involves taking care of the follow tasks:
- Reviewing Event / Mod Posts before they go live.
- Exceptionally playing minor NPCs during events.
- Exceptionally handling the exploration / environment during very large and complicated events.
- Keeping the various IC lists updated (Housing, Guilds, Plot Summary).
- Answering non plot-related questions from the players.
- Participating in Mod Team discussions.
• App Mod
App Mods do not meddle at all with the events and instead focus on reviewing applications and a few other tasks as follow:
- Reviewing Applications.
- Handling the Activity Check and processing Dropped Characters.
- Keeping the various OOC Lists updated (Taken Characters and Player Contact).
Please reply to this post with the form below if you wish to apply: all comments are screened, so no worries, no one will see your application. Being a moderator can be consuming however, so make sure to think it over before posting an application.
