Plotting for Jack: content warning, deals with death of children.

I'm not sure if Jack is going to face his Shadow down in November or December, depends on how many people he'll need to help with. But! Since we have dealt with the Trying To Be The Doctor, now we have to deal with That Time He Utterly Failed To Be The Doctor. Spoilers for Torchwood S3: Children of Earth.

In an attempt to stop an alien invasion, Jack, in one fell swoop, got the man he loved (but was unable to admit that he loved) killed, and then was forced to sacrifice the life of his own grandson (who didn't know Jack was his grandfather). Ianto was the failure. Steven was the mistake, and that's the one that Jack has utterly plugged his ears about dealing with. So, to move on, he has to forgive himself for making a sacrifice that both the Doctor and many Heroes of Light would never have made. His Shadow is going to be a slightly different version of himself, one circa 1968, who made the initial Bad Call that let any of the events of Children of Earth happen in the first place.

This is going to be fun, but odds of a fight are very slim. Comment or contact me if you want in on this, I reserve the right to limit the number of participants.
