The Memory: The leadup to Adron's Disaster. Basically, Crown Prince Adron e'Kieron is both attacking the capital with an army and casting a spell using dangerous high power magic to claim the Imperial Orb (the symbol of rulership of the Drageran Empire). Tazendra is helping her friend, Khaavren, captain of the Emperor's Phoenix Guards, arrest Adron for treason. They are being held up by the once-Lord Garland (yes, really)*, and his sorceress daughter, Grita, who had been trying to stir up shit so Garland could Save the Day and restore his titles.
In the memory, the group kill Garland and most of his hired goons, Grita flees, and the group finds that Adron is in the middle of a spell that is backfiring horribly, beyond his ability to control. Adron teleports them to safety, but the spell backlash sends a wave of amorphia (the stuff that powers sorcery in the setting) to consume the capital city and nearby area. This causes the government and magic system to collapse for several hundred years. Memory Type: Mixed. I would rather not NPC the arresting party or Garland, but one can dodge both Adron's and Imperial soldiers, and try to stop Adron from casting the spell**. (I'd also make chasing after Grita an option, since she'd have a different take on events.)
* And I totally forgot that Dragaera had a villainous Lord Garland! ** Tazendra, of course, would try if she knew the memory version of herself is helping her friends.
