Event: Revelations

Following the battle against Ultima WEAPON, the Heroes of Light and their opponents were all swallowed into the Interdimensional Rift… The experience might be very familiar to them, as if it is similar to what they experienced upon first arriving into this world and when the “Worst Memory” event started. But rather than waking up on Crystallis, this time they woke up in Order’s Sanctuary, a location from a world drifting in the Interdimensional Rift… And from there, they can access multiple portals… Leading to their homeworlds!
Feel free to use this post to ask questions. Likewise, start your own threads here to plot what you shall be doing and the likes!

This is neither a dream nor a vision: in this event the Heroes of Light will be able to go back to their actual homeworlds. The goal is to find Palitutu and track her across the homeworlds of the Heroes of Light so as to stop her and find a way back to Crystallis. This event will be entirely player-driven aside from the conclusion. Moderators will intervene only to answer questions posted here and for the few worlds all Heroes of Light will stumble unto in the course of the event.
This event is mandatory: like with last year’s Genesis, all Heroes of Light will transported into this event regardless of whether or not they participated in the events leading up to this. Characters who died or were wounded during the battle are back to being alive and healthy upon being swallowed into the Rift.
1. THE EVENT
Characters originating from the Dissidia games might recognize the scenery around them, as it is the very world they hail from. However, it is post-ending and therefore the world seems to be abandoned and decaying; even Cosmos is nowhere to be seen. There are however Moogles around. Apparently these creatures are everywhere.
- Portals
In and around Order’s Sanctuary, there are various portals. Going through one of these portals will lead to a homeworld: it might be yours or that of another Hero of Light. Once there, the Heroes of Light won’t be told what to do: the players whose characters originate from this world are expected to handle this world altogether.
- Moogles
There are Moogles around, and the Moogles from Crystallis were drawn into the Rift along with the Heroes of Light (this is however optional). Moogles make everything better, right? The Moogles from this place don’t seem to know much either way. They’ll recognize characters hailing from Dissidia and besides that will try to sell potions and ethers for tons of Gil or Kupo Nuts. Some things never change…
- Manikins
More numerous and deadly than Moogles, Manikins also inhabit this world. They are crystalline entities impermeable to pain that have little in mind besides killing whatever happens to stumble before them. They take the shape of Heroes of Light and people from their homeworlds. Some Heroes of Light might recognize them from the Doppelganger and Enemy Within events. The Sanctuary is safe, but stepping outside is an invitation to be attacked by these things.
- Death
Due to the intervention of the malevolent entity in the Rift, all Heroes of Light are mortal. This means that if they die, it will be permanent. Therefore, be careful.
2. THE HOMEWORLDS
What are the Heroes of Light’s homeworlds? They can be one of two things: either the worlds they originate from or the DWRPs they come from. For game transplant characters, going back to your old game’s world is a viable option—With everything it implies.
- Canon Point
You can pick any canon point for your homeworld. However, should you pick a canon point preceding your character’s canon point, be careful: you risk causing a time paradox which would result in the destruction of your homeworld and your character’s permanent death. That’s a worst case scenario of course, it might simply change your character’s present self. Everything that happens in your homeworld will result in permanent changes: this is not a case where everything will fix itself once the event over. If you do something, it will remain so.
- Powers
Characters will lose all their Jobs abilities upon stepping into their homeworlds. Instead, they will regain their true powers, regardless of what they are. There are limitations however for god-like powers: it is not possible for example to open a portal to Crystallis and the likes. Everyone else will keep their Job powers.
- Worlds and their Rules
Is your homeworld home to an evil overlord who might take notice of your dimension hopping and interfere? Or a crazy scientists who’s been craving for test subjects from another dimension? You might be in for a bad time. The rules that apply to Crystallis do not apply to your homeworld. No Crystal Stasis, Avatars or Kalki that shall save you should you get into trouble with the wrong kind of people. Therefore, feel free to come up with whatever you think would be very fun to play!
- Alternate Realities
Characters who originate from the same Canon or DWRP do not have to originate from the same reality. Meaning the same world can be visited multiple times for different realities. It also means that a character visiting their homeworld from a different reality will be able to stumble unto their alternate self. The choice you make here however will be permanent: so be careful about what you pick.
- Overarching Plot
The purpose in this event is to track Palitutu. To do so, once in a world they will have to look out for a portal to another world, hopefully bringing them closer to Palitutu. Portals are revealed by resolving whatever conflict you make up for the trip at your homeworld. It might be defeating the local villain, saving a city or whatever. Also, Manikins may follow into your homeworld through the portals! If you fail to come up with an idea, then Palitutu might have set up a trial for your characters in your homeworld, she might have fed the local villain with information and the likes. Please reply to the thread below with what you wish for Palitutu’s intervention to have been, should there be any, and we will reply to it in the briefest delays.
- Windows of Opportunity
This is likely to be the first and last chance characters will get to visit their homeworlds before endgame. Any technology they feel they should get while they’re here? Information? That’s now or never.
3. HOMEWORLD NPCS
While on a homeworld, the players whose characters belong to this homeworld are expected to handle it entirely: it implies playing out whatever NPCs and Events will happen in this world. You can, however, get external help, either from people in the game or not in the game.
- Guests
You can ask for someone to help you, or you can even have your friends play characters from your homeworld. Unlike the “Another Side, Another Story” event however, there are no sign-up form only: it is invite only.
- Applications?
Did you play a character from a certain world and wish you could now app them into Melodies of Life? You can! As a matter of fact, characters from the various homeworlds can tag along and follow the Heroes of Light as they step from portal to portal. They’ll be powerless upon leaving their homeworld though and will only get their Crystal and Job once the event over and once they’ll become official residents of Crystallis.
4. DURATION
This event will last till the end of the month. If things slow down considerably we might bring a conclusion earlier, otherwise you have till the 30th to play this event without fearing for an abrupt conclusion. At this point we will post the final confrontation against Palitutu and the conclusion to the event.

• Triple Exp
Anyone participating in this event will have triple experience for the month. Practically speaking, this means their equipped Jobs will progress of three months instead of one!

Sheena - Aseila
So far we have Sheena, Albel and Lydia.
And the way things are looking right now is:
They'll come out near a House of Guidance (Not marked on the map,) but is near the mountain to the left of Toize Valley Mine--and where they will meet a certain red-headed Chosen. Zelos had been on Crystallis a couple of times, so if anyone recognizes him....
Toize Valley Mine/Altamira: They're gonna get caught in the mines and taken to Regal in Altamira. They will obtain ExSpheres, which should open the portal, right? Nah. There are a few Manikins running around and need to be taken care of first.
EDIT: The Manikins will look like the King, Her Grandpa Igaguri, and Verius--Corrine's evolved form.
I'll be putting a top level up there shortly.
