Melodies of Life OOC 

Following the Apocalypse started by Ramza-Kalki, all the Heroes of Light lost consciousness be it after they fell into the abyss, after the Enterprise crashed or after they reached Aqures Ixen... After a long sleep they are back, but the world is no longer as they had left it. With the Calamity awakened and Kalki about to complete the process to merge with it, Crystallis has become a shadow of its former self, a dying world where monsters lurk at every corner.

And it is now the last chance the Heroes of Light have to set things right! This event will last a month, but the duration may be extended or reduced, depending on how things will evolve. It will lead into the final phase of endgame, with the final dungeon and final boss. If you have any questions, please ask them in the appropriate thread below. Feel free to use this post to plot at will!

Following the meeting with the Sage back in September, the Moogles in Palitutu's Laboratory have been working hard to perfect the means through which the Heroes of Lights' Calamity Selves can be drawn out. And now it is ready. The risks are considerable but conquering their dark halves will allow them to become immunized to the Calamity's ill effects.

Feel free to use this post to ask questions. Likewise, start your own threads here to plot what you shall be doing and the like! There shall be no event log for this, so please make your owns if you plan on having Calamity Self confrontations!

Once again, Aqures Ixen is home to the Festival of Light. And as it might very well be the last one—Either before the end of the world or before the beginning of a new era, the people of Aqures Ixen and those who came from all over the world are going all out. They have been informed by the authorities that it is too dangerous to have festivities happening on the final day; therefore the attractions will all be available at some point before the meeting with Palitutu. Nevertheless, in spite of the joy and happiness, it will be evident enough most adults are very anxious and scared for the future.

The Festival of Light runs ICly from the 27th to the 03rd of August, but you are free to start playing it now! This Festival is held specifically to celebrate the defeat of the Calamity two thousand years ago.

Feel free to ask any questions! Furthermore, you can use this post to plot out. If you want to add your own little attraction or the likes, go ahead! The next part of the Anniversary Event, the meeting with Palitutu, will be posted prior to the end of the month. Also, participating in the Festival of Light will provide a Triple Exp bonus for the month of July.

A year ago was the Blitzball World Cup. Aqures Ixen won and now, it is time for the Triple Triad Championship! Countries do not participate in this, but individuals. Indeed, anyone has a chance to participate in and win not only the title of best Triple Triad player in Crystallis, but the fabulous prizes awarded to the top competitors.

Sign-ups for this are open till the 17th, at which point the competitions will properly open. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them below!

On the 22nd of February, the Heroes of Light will encounter… Another group of Heroes of Light. But unlike those who arrived in Aqures Ixen, those Heroes were awakened by Kalki for a very specific purpose, before the imperial attack back in July. From July 2015 to February 2016, they went through their own adventures and events, parallel to what the Heroes of Light from Aqures Ixen went through.

Whether you are a player who is already in Melodies of Life or someone who isn’t— You can play characters from this new batch of Heroes of Light for the duration of the event. All you have to do is fill in a simple and basic form to sign up. The event will last from February 22nd to February 29th. The sign-ups for this will close on the 29th, when the event ends. Feel free to ask questions and please do use this post to start plotting threads, would you like to prepare for the event!

Following the discussion with the Sage in Mysidia, the Heroes of Light are invited on the 15th to go back and see him to get all the answers to all the questions they have. It sounds too good to be true, right? And indeed, it is too good to be true. The Sage did mention he would only tell them everything under certain conditions, and this involves a test, one they are not even going to be aware they're taking.

The characters are going to live through a potential future, two years in the future from now. In this hypothetical timeline, all of the truth will have been revealed to them and the Sage will have answered their every questions. All of this knowledge will have helped them do what is necessary to try and fight Garland and the Calamity... But do they even want to fight Garland now? The content of this potential timeline is going to depend of what characters sign up and what roles they play. It is said that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and so the Heroes of Light who received all of the knowledge of the Sage will play varying degrees of villainous roles in this potential future, threatening to ruin the Heroes of Light's ideals in various ways.

Sign-ups will be open up till the 20th! The event itself happens on the 15th of January and a backdatted log will be posted on the 21st/22nd at the latest, along with a second OOC Post detailing the future scenario.

The Night of the Thirteen Moogles is approaching and the sky grows darker... Those who have been in this world for over a year may remember what terrible events befell the Heroes of Light on this day. But the leader of the Twelve Moogles trying to revive King Moggle Mog has been defeated and captured, so everything should be alright, right?

And so, on the 31st of October, the Night of the Thirteen Moogles will be celebrated in Aqures Ixen! It will be cancelled everywhere else however, because of the terrible weather: storms, tornadoes, thunder, and yet above Aqures Ixen it's only cloudy. Because the Heroes of Light captured all the monsters to complete the quest, yet didn't go out of their way to capture a lot more than necessary, they will have neither an advantage nor a disadvantage in the upcoming battle. While working in Palitutu's Laboratory, something has gone horribly wrong. The Heroes of Light and Moogles managed to find out out the latest program used on her computer, a time travel routine-- The very same one she used to send the Heroes back in time last month. There are very specific requirements for time travel to work though; none of which are met at the moment.

And yet, whether it is because of a clumsy Hero of Light or Moogle, time travel is about to start again. Thankfully, there isn't enough energy left for a time travel in the far past, so instead it will start a ten-hours time loop. Characters caught in the time loop will revive the same ten hours over and over again until they manage to figure how to put an end to the loop. Sounds easy, but it becomes far more complicated when all of Jessie's computer is written in Ancient. It grows even harder when nobody except a select few Heroes of Time are the ones aware of the time loop.

Hello dear players, the event is now live and the battle for Aqures Ixen is about to start! If you haven't signed-up for a role, it's not too late! You can still sign-up anytime and take part in the event. The first OOC post with all the details can be found here. Don't forget the battle will ICly take place from July 28th to August 03rd. This post will be updated every other day.

We will regularly post updates regarding what the Empire is doing and you will be able to answer to their attacks with your tactics, which you may then play out in the IC post. For very important things such as the battle against Ultima Weapon or the meeting with Kalki, it will be fully modded ICly. Again, the outcome of the event is fully decided by how well your characters will do. Therefore, what will happen on July 29th will depend on how well you did on July 28th, etc.

You can use this post to reply to the imperial doings and maybe affect the course of the battle, to ask questions, to plot, etc. We're starting with the 27th, the day before the event properly begins.

From today till the 29th, it's the Blitzball World Cup in Aqures Ixen! Every two years, there are two events with the power to get the entire population of Crystallis up in arms, supporting their favorite people! One of them is the Triple Triad World Competition, but this year it is the other one: the Blitzball World Cup! Blitzball Teams from all over the world are going to compete in order to become world champion and take back home with them the prized Crystal Cup!

You don't like Blitzball? Well that's sad, but you're probably going to have to bear with supporters loudly cheering for their teams, countless people annoyingly blowing vuvuzelas or some people running around shirtless or cosplaying as their favorite Blitzball players. And even so, there may be a few side activities you may enjoy in the lot. Aqures Ixen is going to be far busier than usual for the next weeks, what with people from all over the world supporting their favorite teams.
