Hello everyone, it's time for the monthly information post once again! This post details the small things that will punctuate this month-- Most importantly the event and the numerous player plots! Given the pretty big number of players plots set for this month, either participating in the Triple Triad Championship or in one of the Player Plots will award Double Exp for May!

Puppets || May 05th
If the characters check Palitutu's computer in her laboratory, they will see a countdown going up to May 05th, 09:00 AM. And exactly at this time, a brand new batch of Heroes of Light shall awaken in the vicinity of the Crystal of Fire, located in the third district of Aqures Ixen. After having seen their reality shatter and collapse around them, these Heroes now find themselves in a brand new world... And with floating balls of fur as their greatest allies! Furthermore, they are now wielding mysterious new powers granted to them by the Crystal they hold. The Heroes will be granted their Mognet rights, a house and told everything (or nearly) they need to know about their destiny as "glorious" Heroes of Light.
Following this, a new countdown will start on Jessie's computer, this one ending on July 05th, 09:00 AM. The new characters' files are corrupted and cannot be accessed unless they are manually unlocked by the characters to whom they belong. A log will be posted for new characters to post their introductions in, veterans can welcome them (or not).
Triple Triad World Championship || May 10th-25th
A year ago was the Blitzball World Cup. Aqures Ixen won and now, it is time for the Triple Triad Championship! Countries do not participate in this, but individuals. Indeed, anyone has a chance to participate in and win not only the title of best Triple Triad player in Crystallis, but the fabulous prizes awarded to the top competitors. Those on the final podium may win millions of Gil and special items to use alongside their Jobs.
There will be a way so everyone has a fair chance of winning. The results will depend not only on your characters's skills as Triple Triad players, but on yours as well. An OOC Post will be'posted regarding this event by the tenth of the month.
An Old Friend || May 17th
On the seventeenth of this month, all the Heroes of Light will receive a letter from someone they might have known very well, or that they may have only heard of: Jessie, more commonly known as Palitutu as of late. It will be possible for characters to communicate with her to a very limited extent, and this letter will connect to the second anniversary event that will happen in August.
Journey Into Mystery || May 03rd - 10th
Prior to the sudden disappearance of many of the Heroes of Light, Twilight Sparkle made a call to various heroes requesting assistance in investigating the Lunar Gate, not wanting to let it disappear before it had a chance to be investigated. Despite the state of the Heroes upon their return, Twilight is still willing to go in and investigate. What will they uncover in this mysterious place and why does some of it look familiar?
Should it be successful, this player plot might give access to the Moon Base. However, Lunar Gate remains a destination about to be devoured by the Calamity... An OOC will be posted within the first week of the month, followed by an IC Log.
Sewer Quest (Part 2) || May 12th - 15th
On the 12th of May, Barkeep will be returning to the sewers of Aqures Ixen. Having made a map of the areas the group explored the last time they went down there, the Heroes will venture even deeper into the tunnel and maybe find new, hidden locations! An OOC post will go up on May 8th.
Indeed, this player plot might unlock an important and brand new location located underneath Aqures Ixen. An OOC and IC Log for this will be posted within the month.
Chocobo Forest Trip (Part 2) || May 20th - 25th
While Zack has recovered from his illness, Cloud is still curious about the secrets that the Chocobo Forest holds and the legend of the Chocobo's Paradise. He has invited any who want to come along as he and Zack return to speak to Chocoboy and Mene and perhaps unearth another chocograph.
Character participating to this player plot might have the chance to unlock specific colors and the associated skills for their Chocobo. An OOC and IC Log for this will be posted within the month.
Diamonds Are Forever || May 26th - 30th
The Diamond WEAPON has been a shadow on the horizon for a while now, but with the looming Calamity, the Assassins have decided that something must be done about it sooner than later. With those brave and foolish enough to join them, they have set out to find the Diamond WEAPON, and if necessary destroy it. What its fate will be, boon, bane or scrap, will be determined by the Heroes on this trip.
Participating in this player plot might be dangerous. Permanent death is no longer a risk, but caution is advised nonetheless as the threats of Ultima WEAPON attacking a city is still very real. An OOC and IC Log for this will be posted within the coming month.
Get Down With The Sickness || May 01st - 31st (Ongoing)
A rich donor has bequeathed a very rare and powerful behemoth to the Monster Arena, including a note promising a reward of 50,000 gil and two elemental crystals of a Hero's choice to anyone who can defeat it in single combat. Heroes can choose to fight it as a group, but the reward will be halved, and then split among the champions. However, there's something about the Behemoth that no one will know about until three days later -- anyone who engaged the Behemoth in combat will contract a terrible sickness much like the superflu. Effects can range from a number of debilitating effects, from physical weakness to being unable to equip their Jobs. Some Heroes may even die from this illness, and if they do, they come out of crystal stasis bearing the initial symptoms all over again. This disease is contagious, so even if a character didn't fight in the Arena, it's still possible for anyone with a Crystal to get sick. After that, it's a race to find a cure to the disease, or to find the culprit responsible, before all the Heroes are confined to their sickbeds!
Participation in this event is entirely optional. Your character just might not have the virus take for whatever reason, so you don't have to get sick. Or you can choose from a cocktail of effects to take place, from comical to serious. If the disease makes you strangely afraid of ducks and delusional, so be it. Feel free to exercise as much creativity as you like. An OOC Post will be posted for this within the month.

At the current speed, the Calamity will have destroyed the world in approximately: Eight Months.
This quest isn't part of any event. There is an indefinite amount of time to complete it, but there will be no new quests until its completion. This quest has to be logged and a mod has to be contacted to play the monster. There is no insurance that the characters will win against the monsters and the mods will be merciless, therefore you should prepare yourself as well as possible.
Capture A Hamster
The old man in charge of the Monster Arena wants the ultimate monster. The one that keeps children afraid at night, the terror that scares even imperial troops, the killer of Heroes of Light, the beast whose name is enough to send anyone shivering in fear: a Hamster! He will accept no substitute for this quest.
Reward: Diamond Crystal (x1), Sapphire Crystal (x1)

The Mognet Office of Aqures Ixen will go into strike. Any letters sent from or to the Region of Aqures will not pass until the end of the strike. Moogles will have demonstrations all over the city and try to take advantage of the World Championship to win peoples's hearts (and some free Kupo Nuts).
All Heroes of Light have a permit allowing them to board Airships from Shoopuf Airline© for free. Shoopuf Airline is a civilian company handled by Hypello. At this point in time, the following cities can be reached thanks to Shoopuf Airline: Balicea, the County of Flence and Trano Golsaucia. To reach Aerilon, one has to rent a ship at Balicea and access the city by sea. A special airship is dedicated to going from Esdham to Aqures Ixen. All Imperial Territories are off-limits.
As Airships stop by four cities, it takes them approximately 12 hours to go from their departure point to their arrival point. Chocobos are allowed to board airships.
