Event: Cluedo

Citizens of Aqures Ixen will be getting murdered starting June 15th, without any explanations whatsoever. And of course, Heroes of Light will be getting murdered too. Who might be the culprit? It's a secret to everybody. However, the criminal will be using mind-controlled Heroes of Light to commit the murders, therefore making it harder to track him as they won't remember having done anything…

The sign-ups for Investigators are normal. However, the sign-ups for Witnesses, Victims and Murderers are screened and who will be picked to die or commit a murder from these sign-ups is going to be randomized. Meaning OOCly, the mystery will be whole: we will hand Murderers what they need to know and make public the details of characters' death along with any clues that might be found. Then, it will be the Investigators' job to find the truth. Heroes of Light killed early might come back to life before the event's conclusion and as such they will be able to shed light on how they died. Furthermore, both the Victim and Murderer will be able to play out the crime: their thread will however be screened till the event's conclusion.
The event will culminate with a Hero of Light getting killed off for real-- That is, if any of you do sign-up for the special option.
• Development
The Event will start on June 15th. We will post an OOC Post, which will regularly be updated with a list of VICTIMS. There will also be a very basic description of the CRIME SCENE, a list of CLUES that might be found there as well as a list of potential WITNESSES. Keep in mind that Investigators, Witnesses and Victims can also be Murderers: but that much, the characters won’t know ICly. Victims will be sent a notice, with infos regarding their death. If they come back before the end of the event, they will be able to share what they know. Murderers will be sent a notice as well, regarding everything their characters did under mind control, what they left behind and what they remember. Witnesses will also get a notice about what they have seen or found. Investigators will receive nothing: it is their duty to find out the pieces of the puzzle and put them together.
Finding a Murderer out will count toward revealing who the true culprit is—Indeed, the Murderers will remember what they have done if they are proved to be guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt and they’ll be able to share what they know with the Investigators. Finding out enough Murderers will unlock the event’s “good” ending, but will still result in a Hero dying for real—Unless none of you sign-up to be killed for real, which is the only way to get the “perfect” ending. But can such a feat be accomplished…?
There will be an Open IC Log for your characters to investigate and interrogate witnesses. Lastly, there will be a Closed and Screened IC Log for murders to be played out. However, this log will not be posted till the last week of the event, to prevent info from leaking out.
• Rules
You are allowed to plot on Plurk or elsewhere, to ponder what you will do and to share ideas. You can also set up a victim / murderer relationship if there is something specific you’d like to play out, but you have to keep it private till the event’s conclusion or till it is ICly brought to light. However, you are not allowed to reveal you signed-up as a Murderer, Witness or Victim. You are not allowed to share any info from the notices sent to you by the moderators: you can only share the info ICly with an investigator. You are however allowed to share your informationin the OOC Post if you thread together with an investigator to handwave things. If you are found cheating one way or another, your character will be removed from the event and you will be given a strike (three strikes resulting in a permanent ban from the game).
• Permanent Death
One, and only one, Hero of Light will permanently die at the end of the event. You can opt in or out of this in the victim sign-up. Be warned that if you pick that option, you will HAVE TO DROP YOUR CHARACTER PERMANENTLY. They won’t fall in Crystal Stasis and won’t be able to come back, ever. This version of the character will be PERMANENTLY GONE. It also means their homeworld will PERISH WITH THEM. You should opt in at your own risks.
Canonmates, worry not. OU characters from the same canon may come from different quantum realities: to make it simply to understand, they are slightly different universes. Think of two identical realities, except for something minor like Character X put on a ribbon instead of a hero’s scarf in the accessory slot. So if a character dies for real in this event, the canonmates do not have to die with them. … Or they can. If you’d like for the permanent death to result in a chain reaction that will permanently kill multiples characters, you can do it. However, mention it in your sign-up and discuss with your canonmates first.

• Double Exp
