JANUARY INFORMATION POST
— Crystallis Will Be Destroyed in Four Months —
Hello everyone, it's time for the monthly information post once again! Christmas is over and understandably we are all left with naught but sorrow and despair till December 24th 2017. This pain might seem insurmontable, but the world must go on and the Calamity must be stopped. To new players, we hope you will enjoy playing here and to veteran players, we hope you are still enjoying the game. If you are new, feel free to introduce yourself in the OOC community, a log will be posted on the fifth of January for new characters, should there be any. Like usual, new characters will be housed with characters already in-game.
This post details the small events that will punctuate this month. Should you have any questions regarding this month's happenings, please feel free to post them here.
To Be Or Not To Be || January 05th
After having seen their reality shatter and collapse around them, new Heroes now find themselves in a brand new world... Except they've actually been there for months if not years and just now snapped out of Crystal Stasis. To make it worse rather than wake up in Aqures Ixen they might wake up anywhere: in the middle of nowhere or maybe in the middle of a very populated area. Thankfully, thanks to the map found in Palitutu's Hidden Laboratory, their assigned Moogle will be quick to find them... And explain them everything they need to know.
As characters are no longer summoned from other worlds, they need not to awaken on the 05th specifically: they may wake up on the 01st, on the 15th, on the 28th or any other day this month. Regardless of what date you choose however, this will not dispense you from passing AC. A log will be posted for new characters to post their introductions in, veterans can welcome them (or not).
Strategy || January 25th
On the 25th, all the Heroes of Light will be invited to the Castle of Aqures Ixen by Cid to discuss what should be done before the end. Other NPCs will be present, namely the leaders of other nations or those appointed by them to be present for this meeting. The meeting will discuss the attack on Pandaemonium and what will happen in the beginning of endgame. It will be their chance for the Heroes of Light to offer their ideas and put into motions their grand plans to try and get the best of all endings.
It will be the final preparation before endgame starts in March; please look below for more information regarding endgame.
The Twin Moons || January 29th - January 30th
The world of Crystallis has two moons: the largest one is blue whereas the smallest one is red. Once a year, there is a dual full moon, it is to say both moons are full at the same time. This year, the dual full moon will happen in the night from January 29th to January 30th. It is an event particularly appreciated by fans of astronomy and there will be many gatherings in cities, noticeably in the Observatory of Aqures Ixen and in Mysidia.
If Heroes of Light decide to observe the dual full moon with the observatory, they will find out that the observatory does function, but they cannot observe the moon or any other celestial body with it. No, instead they will be able to see the very world they come from. The observatory will work only during the dual full moon. Now, the Heroes of Light who were there the past two years may know of it-- And with the recent exploration of the Moonbase, it might be more evident as to why this phenomenon is a thing.
It Came From Outer Space!! || January 10th - 15th
The strange alien appearances and livestock wrangling has gone on long enough. It is time to get to the bottom of this mystery. A group of Heroes will attempt to make contact with the alien saucer mid-January. This may involve disguising themselves as various animals to entice the aliens to beam them up. From there, no one knows what will come next...
A OOC sign-up/info post will be posted soon. This event will be open to Heroes of any experience level.

The Monster Arena has been contaminated by the Calamity... And nothing changed. The old man seems rather happy at the idea to be attacked by Calamity Monsters and see what they can do firsthand. Madness or courage? The quest is still ongoing. Those wishing to claim the rewards for this quest have to log and at least two characters must participate in one of these fights, with a maximum of eight characters being allowed to participate in a fight.
Capture Calamity Monsters
The old man in charge of the Monster Arena wants Calamity Monsters. He already has every species of monsters in the arena, but now he'd like to have every single Calamity versions for each of the monsters. It might not be easy as even a Calamity Geezard is more dangerous than a regular T-Rex or Behemoth. Duplicates will not be accepted so make sure to hunt
Reward: The reward is one of the following. You can participate in two different capture to get both rewards however you can only get each reward once (you cannot get two golden tickets or two experience chalices). Only your character can use the reward, you cannot give it to another character.
- Golden Ticket (the owner is eligible for a free purchase at O'aka's shop upon presenting this ticket)
- Experience Chalice (a chalice that contains 15 months worth of experience for anyone with less than four maxed Jobs and who has been in the game for less than a year)

Mognet will function normally.
• January 03rd
Mognet will be closed for Kupocake Day (a day where Moogles and their friends eat cakes made with Kupo Nuts).
• January 04th – January 31st
Mognet will function normally.
• January 25th - January 30th (Esdham)
The Mognet Office of Esdham will go into strike. Any letters sent from or to the Region of Flence will not pass until the end of the strike.
All Heroes of Light have a permit allowing them to board Airships from Shoopuf Airline© for free. Shoopuf Airline is a civilian company handled by Hypello. At this point in time, the following cities can be reached thanks to Shoopuf Airline: Balicea and Trano Golsaucia. To reach Aerilon, one has to rent a ship at Balicea and access the city by sea. A special airship is dedicated to going from Esdham to Aqures Ixen. All Imperial Territories are off-limits.
As Airships stop by three cities, it takes them approximately 09 hours to go from their departure point to their arrival point. Chocobos are allowed to board airships. A special Airship this month will take the Heroes of Light to the village of Santa Claus whenever they want.

Endgame is finally right around the corner! January is going to be dedicated to the preparations for Endgame with the meeting between the Heroes of Light and the NPCs. February will have no event and will be your very last month in the game as it is now. If there is anything you'd like to do or any locations you'd like to visit, February will be your last chance to do so. Make sure to do what ever it is you need to do, as Crystallis might not even be a thing any more once endgame starts.
The final reservations will be open from February 15th to February 21st, whereas the final app round will occur from February 21st to February 28th. Endgame will officially start on March 05th.
Starting from then on, the game will no longer follow an OOC/IC time ratio of 1:1. We might spend a month in real life to play out a couple days in-game, or at the contrary there might be time skips. Endgame will be a succession of events leading to the final dungeon, the final boss battles and the conclusion. NPCs who flied under the radar might make a sudden comeback for the better or the worse and the actions of the Heroes of Light so far will determine what ending they'll get.
However, even though endgame is now happening, there is no saying what ending you'll get. After all, the Heroes of Light still have the possibility to ruin everything... Or to make everything for the best. The game should close by May 2017. It might happen earlier or later, depending on how quickly or slowly things go. However, if things go on for too long, a definitive conclusion will be drawn by July 01st at the latest, the deadline on which the game will close definitely. What will happen then? God only knows...

The conclusion for the Night of the Thirteen Moogles is finally there! Due to the Heroes of Lights's kindness toward him (well, some Heroes of Lights's kindness anyway), Mograma decided to help them put a definitive end to the saga of the Thirteen Moogles. Reversing the process taught to him by Kalki and using the power of the Heroes of Light, Mograma was able to disperse the consciousness of King Moogle Mog.
King Moogle Mog will never be able to come back again and without the King's revival as a purpose to keep them anchored to this world, the remaining Eleven Moogles's souls faded away. After three years facing the Thirteen Moogles and their machinations, they have finally been defeated and put to rest forever. From now on, October 31st will be a peaceful and celebrated day all around Crystallis-- If the Heroes of Light manage to save the world, that is.
