Endgame: Final Fantasy

Hello dear players. As the World of Ruins section of endgame has stalled and slowed the game down for too long, we have decided to move forward to the next and final event. With the Archfiends defeated, the final dungeon is shortened considerably. As such, the modded portion of the event will start directly at the final confrontation against Kalki. We will wait a few days before replying to the final confrontation thread so that everyone can see this and reply to the appropriate thread with their characters if they so desire, and then we shall tag it once a day till either the Final Boss or the Heroes of Light are defeated. The conclusion for Melodies of Life will then be posted as a result of the final confrontation!
You are free to play final dungeon bits on your own and backdate the World of Ruins event to infinity. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them below.

For the purpose of making things advance, it is assumed the Heroes of Light managed to get all back together a final time before going for the final dungeon after the Archfiends were defeated. To play their last reunions and moments before, the Enterprise prompt is the one to go with.
The Enterprise
Thanks to the efforts of the Heroes of Light in defeating the Archfiends and helping Cid out, the Enterprise was repaired and gathered all the Heroes of Light together before taking them where they needed and eventually, to the final dungeon. The airship is pretty much as the Heroes of Light remember it, maybe a bit shakier after the crash from five years ago. A number of NPCs will have gotten on board the Enterprise as well (namely Cid, Wedge, Biggs, Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Mograma, Moglin, Gilgamesh, Gibbs, O’aka, the Monster Arena Guy, his Moogle friend, a random PuPu and a random Hypello), but they will not go into the final dungeon.
You are free to use this setting at your convenience for pre-final dungeon mingles.
The Final Dungeon
In effort to save time, the final dungeon will not be modded, but players can thread out the exploration at their pace with the information provided. The following is a summary of what would have happened ask they traveled to the final location.
With the Archfiends were defeated, Kalki’s Castle was skipped altogether. Indeed, as the barrier protecting the place has been dissipated altogether, the Enterprise was able to land besides the castle, by the outskirts of Aqures Tosf. The Heroes of Light would have found the ruins very similar to the way they once were and populated almost exclusively by Calamity Tonberries. The main difference is that the sky is obscured by the castle floating above them. Using an ethereal flight of stairs, the characters will be able to move up into the Castle if they so like, though there is little point to it as the place is made to kill any intruders and is falling in ruins with every steps taken. Indeed, if the characters decide to venture in for the hell of it, they will find lots of Calamity Monsters, Manikins and traps meant to kill them with nothing of interest.
Exploring the ruins of Aqures Tosf, the place of interest was within the Temple of Fire, where the Crystal of Fire was once stored. The hole in the ground was still there, and sucked into it any Hero of Light who got too close. And then…
Upon being sucked into the hole, the Heroes of Light would have found themselves in the core of Crystallis, also known as the Crystal World. Unlike the crystal caves, the Crystal World is made of crystalline platforms floating in the planet’s core and forming roads for the Heroes of Light to follow. Their surroundings are filled with floating crystals and white, red, blue and black energy trails spiraling and moving from crystal to crystal, harmless to them. The only enemies in there are Manikins, who take the shape of former Heroes of Light, current Heroes of Light, people from their homeworlds or even people from Crystallis. The Crystal World is a maze and leads into dead ends. Half of these dead ends have crystalline portals that will teleport Heroes of Light into another location, each one taking them closer to the First Crystal. Noticeably, the deeper they get in, the darker the crystals look and the weaker the light they emit is.
The final portal will be noticeably darker and larger than the other ones, therefore the Heroes of Light better be prepared for what’s to come after that. Their Moogles can follow them, of course. You are free to play out any parts of the final dungeon on your own in the appropriate thread.

The Final Battle will be split into multiple battles, for a total of five. The Heroes of Light will start the battle all together, but will then be divided in smaller groups for the second battle onward. While there are very good odds for the Heroes of Light to come victorious, don’t relax just yet. If you attack Kalki with fire spells only and if only two and a half Heroes of Light participate, they might just lose, so make sure to give it your all!
Furthermore, an Advanced Job has been unlocked very recently and is available to everyone. It might be a good idea to consider adding it to your roster...
As a reminder, the World Knight Job is maxed when the Heroes receive it.

Once the final battle over, the story of Melodies of Life will finally come to an end. Even with the best of endings, it is likely there might be casualties. Heroes might die to protect their loved ones, friends might get separated forever once they return to the place they call home and lost souls might finally find rest. We hope you will enjoy the conclusion and we thank you for having made it so the game could get that far!

| Initial | Anti Death | Prevents death when hit with by "death" attacks or any insta-kill attacks. |
| Onion Knight Maxed | Reraise | Spell used on an ally. Automatically revives and fully heals them once if killed. |
| World Knight Maxed | Void Vision | Passive skill. Allows to perceive the Calamity from the Skies's true body. |
| Final | Melodies Of Eternity | An end to mark a new beginning. Attack that only works if used as final blow. |
