The final battle is finally over and has been won by the Heroes of Light! And with this done, the final thread will begin in a few days. In the course of the ending, a drastic choice will be presented to the Heroes of Light. However, in an effort to prevent the conclusion from stalling due to players and characters having to make this decision, the choice in question will be revealed here:

For the Calamity to rest and for all of its shattered consciousnesses to be reborn in a new world of their own making, the Calamity needs a music sheet to restore its Melodies of Life. Where life and death no longer exist, the Calamity needs those who know what life and death are, who went through the pain of living. In short, the Calamity needs Heroes of Light to help it create a new world, where the shattered consciousnesses will be able to live and die in peace. However, characters offering themselves up will die for real. Their sacrifice is a noble one and will bring about rest to the Calamity, but they will die in the process.

You do not have to sacrifice your characters. If no one volunteers the good ending will still unfold, albeit slightly differently. At this point the good ending is guaranteed, so regardless of the presence of volunteers or not, it will still happen. If there are many volunteers however, only four characters will be picked, based on criteria the Calamity needs most. Everyone else will live.

The conclusion thread will begin tomorrow. You have until the end of the week-end to make a choice. If you'd like to sacrifice your character, please reply to this post with the form below. All replies are screened. If you play multiple characters, can only submit one. Characters selected will be contacted by the mods before the thread gets to the point when they have to volunteer ICly.
