Man it's been so long since I saw the 2003 anime, but Lust was cool. If she asks Barkeep about what it means to be human, she will be disappointed because the answer is always "love". At least Keiko and he have housekeeping hobbies to bond over.

Not TOO disappointed. She'll want an explanation. After all, Scar seemed to be driven to do what he did because of love for his brother, and love for the woman she used to be. So there will be talks.

At least Barkeep has a tidy roommate.
