Legends of the Hidden Temple Part 2: Electric Boogaloo - OOC Info Post
Hi, everyone! It's time for part 2 of the Temple of the Heroes of Light to go up. This one is open to anyone and everyone who wants to explore the Temple or take part in the fight occurring there (more on that later). I'll be putting a new IC log up for this soon. Basically, there will be three big threads: two for general exploration and one for a boss fight. The exploration threads will have toplevels containing descriptions of the interior of the Temple that have been provided by the mods, and will be general open RP threads for exploring those two paths. These threads will not be modded, so everyone can just feel free to play among themselves.
The one that needs some special attention is the third thread, which will be a boss fight against the spirits of the original thirteen Heroes of Light. Winning this fight will give our characters the ability to summon the knights one time against Garland to break down his defenses and give us a chance to defeat him. They only have enough power to manifest once, so this is essentially a fight to prove our strength and worthiness. This thread will be fully modded once it gets going. The characters are aware that this combat trial awaits them, as it would have been explained previously to Chiaki's group and relayed out to everyone else.
The fight itself will be 13 of our best Heroes of Light vs. the spirits of the original 13, so we'll need to decide who to send. The mods have warned that this will be a tough fight and will not be scaled down if we forget to bring a White Mage, so we'll also need to plan accordingly and send a group with balanced strengths and defenses. There is no permanent death for losing the fight, but our characters do not know this, and they'll be led to believe that this is life or death. If defeated, they'll appear unharmed outside the Temple with the entrance permanently locked. So while there's no risk of death, losing does mean we don't have access to the 'power' to defeat Garland.
Feel free to use this post for plotting and figuring out who we're going to send, who's going to equip what, and so on.

His maxed out Jobs are Thief, Ghostbuster, Programmer, Engineer, Magitek Knight, Scholar, Blacksmith, and Bearer of Wisdom
If Ales does fight, Duster can go check out the rest of the Temple.

1) Gift of Crystallis, Stats Lore + Enlightenment for buffing the whole party
2) Life, Curaga, Esuna, plus Divine Caress for status effect protection
3) All elemental spells except for earth, and Ultima for non-elemental
He's also carrying over stats from Dragoon in case he needs the mobility for avoiding attacks. Onion Knight is fun~
(I don't expect we can disable their Jobs with Crystal Researcher's Forsaken skill, but it might be worth a try? Yes?)

Tazendra will volunteer to fight as a maxed Crystal Knight if they need a tank. (She is attached to that Advanced Job.) She may not be the best choice, since she's only 6 jobs into Onion Knight, but if you need someone willing to die for this, she's ready. (This is contingent on her mastering her shadow, of course.) (Tazendra's other maxed jobs are Black Mage, Time Mage, Warrior and her Custom Job, which is another magic-user. Un-maxed, she has Gambler, Santa Clause, Ghostbuster, and Crystal Researcher.)

Aside from that, Tear has a few other jobs.Red Mage, Time Mage, Illusionist, Santa Claus, Archer and White Mage are all maxed, with Air Bender and Dancer pretty far along. All these jobs lend her to be better as a support, be it with running in as a second wave or as buffs. She will have some hesitations given what happened to her in Downapolis, but she'll do what her allies need her to.
In addition, she might switch out Dancing Mad for Somnus Nemoris unless she can be convinced the former can be useful for this particular battle.
