Endgame: Apocalypse

Endgame is finally upon us! Staring on March 01st, most of the game’s activities will close: NPC Contact, Regains, Palitutu’s Laboratory, O’aka’s Shop, Employments, etc. It is no longer possible to request player plots as the game is nearing the end. Characters who join or return to the game with this app round will have till March 05th to post a backdated Calamity Self Log, if they so wish. Staring on March 05th, the game will no longer follow a 1:1 ratio of OOC/IC days. The game’s time from now on will be dictated by the events. There are no exp rewards any more: as OOC/IC time is now broken, starting from March characters won’t receive monthly exp anymore. There will however be ways to earn exp in the events following this one.
Don’t forget to give instructions to NPCs in the appropriate post. While it might seem meaningless at the moments, long-term instructions given to them will prove invaluable in the event that will follow directly after this one. If you have any questions, please ask them in the appropriate thread. All replies to this post are screened due to the sign-ups, but questions will be unscreened.

On the 05th of March, the Heroes of Light will attack Pandaemonium. Multiple actions undertaken by the Heroes of Light throughout the game will have repercussions on what will happen in Pandaemonium:
• The Crystallization process receded, allowing NPC allies and Heroes who didn’t face their Shadow to come.
• The Cult of Narayana was defeated beforehand, cancelling their surprise attack at Pandaemonium’s Gates.
• The Military can help thanks to the crystallization having receded and thanks to Heroes of Light having reached the rank of Colonel.
• The Military will secure Pandaemonium, allowing the Heroes of Light to skip random battles and puzzles.
• The Knights of the Round summon was unlocked, reducing Garland’s total health by 85% if used.
• Kurma and Palitutu are both still alive.
• The Imperial City was mostly evacuated, reducing (but not nullifying) the horror factor of the dungeon.
• The Heroes of Light met Emperor Garland once in the course of their stay on Crystallis.
Due to these combined factors, the Heroes of Light will be able to go directly to Garland and confront him without having to worry about anything else. The Apocalypse event will therefore be faster than it should have been and the eventual fight against Garland will be hard but very short—Not only thanks to Knights of the Round, but due to previous meetings with Garland and certain characters still being alive. This battle will be a test in doing as much as possible in very little time, unlike the Knights of the Round battle that was a test in endurance. The Enterprise will deposit all the Heroes of Light going by the gates of Pandaemonium at the beginning of the event. There are so sign-ups for this and the IC Log for the attack on Pandaemonium will be posted on March 05th.

Starting with the second phase of Endgame, four Heroes of Light will take on the role of antagonists and oppose the other Heroes of Light. These should be characters whose ideals align (to an extent) with Kalki’s. They should be ready to accept that all worlds must first be destroyed before being born anew, in order to put an end to the cycle once and for all. From their point of view they are not evil; they are only working toward the endgame goal with the highest odds of success. Even if it involves sacrifices, eventually everyone will be born anew and the cycle will be broken.
There are two conditions for you to sign-up your character for this role: they must have faced and conquered their Calamity Self and they must be ready to do whatever it takes to see Kalki’s Plan completed. If you sign-up for this, you must be ready for your character to play the role of an antagonist. They will face the other Heroes of Light and quite possibly fight them. They won’t be under mind control; they will be in full control of their action. Whilst it is possible for them to ‘redeem,’ this wouldn’t happen anytime soon as they would fight for their conviction. The sign-ups will all be masked and only four Heroes of Light will be picked for this.

A Hero of Light will know a fate worse than death by the end of the Apocalypse section of Endgame. They will not technically be dead, but it will be as if. The player will lose all control over their character as a terrible fate shall befall them. If you sign-up for your character to be this Hero of Light, you must be aware you are renouncing your right to play them. You will no longer have any say in what happens to them, however terrible it might be. They will play a key role in the remainder of endgame, but it will be beyond your control and they might end up dying for real once this role will be over.
There are two conditions for you to sign-up your character for this role: they must have faced and conquered their Calamity Self and they must have unlocked the Onion Knight Job. While the Onion Knight Job must be unlocked to qualify, it is not necessary for it to be mastered. If you sign-up for this, you have to be aware the risks for your character are more than just risks: something terrible will happen and you will lose all control over them. The sign-ups will all be masked and only one Hero of Light will be picked for this.

Re: Questions
Does Kalki's plan offer the hope or chance previous generations of worlds and/or the worlds of heroes lost in this cycle to be reconstructed, at least in part, or is this strictly a 'save all worlds not yet eaten' thing?
(I am okay with the answer being PM'd to me if it is something Kalki would only mention one-on-one.)

Archfiend Sign-Up
There is no guarantee your character will be picked; a maximum of four characters will be selected for this. Results will be PM’d by the conclusion of the Apocalypse Endgame Event.
Vessel Sign-Up
There is no guarantee your character will be picked; only one character will be selected for this. Results will be PM’d before the conclusion of the Apocalypse Endgame Event.
