What's up Melodies!

I'm Teek/Eric, a new player here squeaking by just in time for the Grand Finale. (I always was the one to show up fashionably late to a party.) I'll be playing the Wandering Anime Swordsman To End All Wandering Anime Swordsmen, Kenshin Himura from Rurouni Kenshin. Once the most notorious assassin of the Bakumatsu conflict of latter 1800s Japan, Kenshin has spent ten years wandering under a new vow to never again take a life, a journey that has resulted in...well, in this guy.

For all that, he's a pretty pleasant fellow! First in the charge and last in retreat whether it's sword fights or house chores, Kenshin is a little goofy, but a friendly and gentle sort, and eager to lend what help he can to the Heroes of Light in the final days on Crystallis. As the endgame unfolds, you'll find him wholeheartedly supportive and dedicated to your success, protection, and possibly your nutrition if you let him spot you a home-cooked meal now and then (he doesn't think very highly of his cooking, but he loves to do it, and the Heroes need their ramen fix). His sword arm ain't too shabby, either. Feel free to have a gander at his Application and wet-behind-the-ears info post.

MoL has been on my RP radar for a while, so it's great to be here and I'm really excited to meet everybody. At least three of you I recognize (the incredibly lovely and incredibly talented Faetan, Demonrubberducky, and Magellan) and I know I'll enjoy tagging with the rest of you. Hi Teek! I'm Nara, one of the helper mods, and I'm looking forward to Kenshin helping save just one more world! Er, multiverse, in this case.

I place the Barkeep here from Thrilling Adventure Hour, Duster from Mother 3 and Ales from Rayman Origins.

Heeeey Nara! Heck yes, and I'm looking forward to Kenshin spending at least one late night chatting with the Barkeep and...getting his mind totally blown about all the weird cosmic nuttiness poor Mordecai's seen in his time. ;)

Barkeep likes to talk...a lot. Even when the world is at stake, he will talk everyone's ears off.

Also, I'm planning on doing a Shadow Log before endgame. Would you be cool with joining in?

Absolutely I would! This boy's nothing if not a warrior-therapist.

In other news, Lydia will actually recognize him. Even if he looks different. She had good CR with the live-action KEnshin who came into game at the same time she did.

I will not ask for any of that CR or anything close to transfer, but I would like it if she'd at least recognize him. Even if he's not the one she knew. (Alternatively, please feel free to talk to me/plot with me/etc if you want. PM this journal or on plurk at Shinotenshi22)

So I boned up on MoL hard before I joined and I legit fistpumped when I saw this comment. I adore your Lydia. I read her tags and I'm 7 years old in front of Nickelodeon again, man.

I had no idea there was an LA Kenshin before me! Heck yes, please, let's plot. I am a sucker for that "I feel like I know you" kind of CR so I'm more than happy to play with that! (And ooohh a line of dialogue just jumped into my head that I think will melt your heart like a drop of cream into hot chocolate if we pull it off right.) Let's do it. :3

There was--t::dr, he and Lydia were brought in with the group of Heroes as captives of the Empire (Heroes of Darkness is the log), and he sort of got half-dragged/half-persuaded to help her. He was one of her first mentors, mostly for dodging/avoiding things b/c he doesn't teach anyone combat. BUT--he made a big impact, as part of their escape plan. (Not least of which b/c he made her a brush and ink, while she gathered note-paper, so they could keep a map!)

Bottom line, they were close. But I won't expect that if you don't want any of it. Lydia is going to be SOOOOOOOOOOO TORN. (and oh man, I'm going to like you with your writing.)

P.S: I love the journal name. (Fave song, and I'm a Kenshin fan of old so ^^)

Aw you know I gotta roll with that now. That's so cool! I'll go back and check out the log. I think it'd be fun to write him getting those kind of FF9 or Chrono Cross-ish "memories from another self" feeling with Lydia and deciding - gah what am I doing, I can't spoil it here! But we're gonna plot and it will be awesome and heartwarming. (All I'm gonna say is that I'm kind of glad to be joining near endgame just for CR with you, because the line in my head totally works for it. ;3)

D'aww thank you. And right?! It's only been, like, one of my personal Hype Anthems since high school.

I'll warn you, she'll prolly cry. Crystallis hasn't been entirely kind to her, and she *loathes* the Crystal-Stasis state and how those she cares about just seem to leave her.

Tales of Symphonia is so incredibly near to my heart, and your voice for Sheena kills me with how freakin' good it is. I know Kenshin will immediately like her, too (and oh man, she and Misao would piss each other off so bad and then suddenly realize one day that they're BFFs, lol). I'm looking forward to tagging you out there. :)

Hi, I'm Stareyes and I play Aang here (young fun-loving teenager (post-canon) who also has amazing 'keep the world in balance' power). Also Nanami from Revolutionary Girl Utena (my longest running character -- she started as a deconstructed mean girl, and went from there) and Tazendra from the Dragaera books by Steven Brust (a large boisterous warrior elf-lady).

Hey Stareyes! From one peace-loving martial artist boy with Easily Identifiable Facial Markings to another, hell yes these two gotta hang out. Aang may not realize it immediately, but I think Kenshin would find him and his attitude incredibly inspiring. And oh goodness! If you're playing Nanami I gotta be sure to cross paths with her at least once, too!
