Crystallis de Chocobo: Event Results

Thanks to everyone who participated in the event! At the conclusion of the event the Old Man and the Moogle will tell the Heroes of Light they can leave their Chocobos in the farm, so that they will be able to take care of them. Chocobos kept at the farm are available anytime. Of course, characters can decline and bring their Chocobos back to the city, should they chose to.

Furthermore, catching Chocobos is an activity now all characters can take part in. All characters can make logs pertaining to Chocobo things. Please look here for more details. If characters need to contact the Old Man and his Moogle, they are now available in the NPC Contact List.

• New Job
At the end of the day before their departure, the old man will give the Heroes of Light a green Crystal shaped as a Chocobo Feather, telling them that the power contained within the Crystal will help them with their newly caught Chocobos. He will explain that this Job was once taught to young Knights so they could fight in harmony with their Chocobos. Upon giving them the Crystal, it will vanish and the characters' own crystals will shine for a second.

CHOCOBO KNIGHT
Chocobo Knights specialize in fighting with Chocobos at their side. Versatile, they shine with Chocobos at their side, however this does not mean they need to have a Chocobo with them to use their skills. They are more than capable to fight even without their Chocobo. They can equip armor and all sort of non-ranger weapons.

Strengths: A very versatile Job, characters equipping it have access to a varied set of skills. Chocobo Knight can equip all sort of non-ranged weapons, but where they shine is with halberds and spears. Their ability to summon a Chocobo anywhere is a plus as well.

Weaknesses: If Chocobo Knights are not on their Chocobo's back, the might of their skills is divided by two, making it one of the weakest Job. Furthermore, their resistance to both physical and magical attacks is sub-par. A Job to be used only by those who expect to spend a lot of time with their Chocobo Friends.

Initial Choco Summon Allows to summon one's Chocobo anywhere on the World Map.
Initial Choco Assault Charges at the enemies on a Chocobo back to deal physical damage.
One Month Choco Beak Teaches the character's Chocobo to attack the enemy on its own.
Two Months Choco Cure Heals minor wounds.
Three Months Choco Recharge Lessens mental exhaustion on one ally (restores mental power).
Four Months Choco Esuna Cures status ailments.
Six Months Choco Flame Fire attack spell (medium).
Nine Months Choco Barrier Reinforces physical and mental defense (allies).
One Year Choco Meteor Imitation of the ultimate black magic. Summons a meteor to attack enemies.

Only characters who participated directly in event can get this Job for free. This Job comes with a three month bonus for all characters who participated in the event. They will automatically get it and can switch to this Job by asking their Moogle. They can also discard it. Characters who didn't participate in the event will have to request this Job to Jessie if they want it. Chocobo Knight is now available as a default Job for newcomers.

• New Summon
For defeating the Chocobo Eater, the Moogle will hand over a red orb to the characters. Like the green Crystal, it will vanish, awakening a new summon in the process. If asked, the Moogle will explain they kept this Eidolon in the farm to protect it from the 'thing' that corrupts other Eidolons, but seeing them defeat the Chocobo Eater convinced them they are the real Heroes of Light, so the Eidolon should be safe with them. Anyone equipped with the Summoner Job can equip and summon this Eidolon.

CHOCO/MOG
Choco/Mog is a neutral summon, made of two Eidolon: a Chocobo and a Moogle. It is said they fought alongside the Heroes of Light thousands of years ago. Because it was kept in the care of the Chocobo Farm's owner, it appears the Eidolon remained untainted.

Deathblow!!
Characters summoning Choco/Mog will have a Moogle riding a Chocobo appear at their side, charging into the enemy and exploding. The attack is fairly weak, but may happen to freeze the enemy in time for a duration of two minutes.

Fat Chocobo (rare)
On rare occasions when summoning Choco/Mog, the summoner may happen to summon a fat Chocobo instead. The enormous Chocobo will fall from the sky and land onto its enemies, dealing heavy damage to it. preferably the characters shouldn't be too close of the enemy when the fat Chocobo lands.

• Regain
All characters who fought the Chocobo Eater will receive a letter from Jessie telling them they're eligible for a free regain, whether they survived the battle or not. To do so, they'll have to come to her laboratory. There, they will have to hand over their Crystal to Jessie, who will hand over to them a white Crystal in exchange. While focusing, the White Crystal will cast a projection of the item they desire to regain. If the projection corresponds to the item they want to regain, Jessie will tell them to wait two days, time during which she will keep both their Crystal and the white Crystal.

The process to project the correct item with the White Crystal requires a bit of mental focus. If the character fails to focus, Jessie will lose patience and pick something at random. if you want your characters' regain to be out of their control and something they possibly didn't want, this is the way to do it.

After only one day, the Heroes of Light Crystal' will re-appear to their side on its own. After two days, they'll receive their regain through Mognet. Please fill this form and post it in the regain thread, for your regain to be approved. You have to provide a proof that you were in the Chocobo Eater boss battle (a link will be enough).

• Double Exp
Anyone who participated in this event received double experience for the month. Practically speaking, this means their equipped Jobs will progress of two months instead of one!

• Gils
All characters who participated in the battle against the Chocobo Eater and survived are given 7000 Gils by the old man and the Moogle. It's not much, but it's a start!

Would it be possible to switch to the Straw Hat then if that's the case? If it isn't asking too much, I mean.

For reference, I, the player, want the piece of paper. If it's not too much trouble, it would be great if in-game it was a 'random' regain.
