All the Heroes of Light have received a special package from the Queen of Aqures Ixen herself. The letter is handwritten uniquely for each character and there is a gift for them. Why this letter? This is because of the success in building the Village of Santa Claus! The best reward for their success is this letter from the queen as well as the gift sent by her, and it is for everyone.

Asides from this, the characters who participated in building the Village also get what would have been the second best reward, a free regain or Job from Cid. You have till the end of the month to participate in the Village of Santa Claus to get this reward. Furthermore, you have till the end of January to claim it! Reply to the appropriate thread below to claim your free Regain or ask for a Job.

Thanks a lot to everyone who participated in the Anniversary Event! A lot of threads are still ongoing, and we will keep replying to the NPC threads for the Genesis Event. Backdated interactions with the NPCs may still affect future events and change the way certain characters will behave. But as the event has lasted a very long time already, it's time for your characters to have a break. They will be back in the present by August 14th and on the bright side, Aqures Ixen was saved!

However, there are a lot of things that are less than bright... This post details the outcome of the event, the rewards, and more. There will not be a new IC Log as there have been a lot of those already, so feel free to make your own posts for all post-event things. If you have any question, ask them here!

Hello everyone! Melodies of Life is a slow paced game and the ongoing event was supposed to last throughout most of the month, but as numerous players have expressed concerns regarding the event stalling and preventing further character interactions, we have decided to give it closure so that the game can continue to proceed normally. As of now, all characters can be considered to have safely reached Aqures Ixen. Considering how things have progressed so far, it is safe to say they reached Sub-Level 26 and used Cid's Airship to flee, though they may also have used the boat of the rescuers to flee-- Or maybe they died in the facility and respawned back in Aqures Ixen by the Crystal of Fire. Whatever the case, the Empire and the Research Facility are all now, once more, off-limit.

The event will still be modded. All ongoing threads will be played to their end and we will mod newly made threads if you want to explore more of the facility. We realize we have made mistakes with this event-- It was poorly structured on our end and we didn't communicate as much information as we should have. To make up for this, we have included more information in this post, should you want to explore other areas of the facility and discover more secrets relating to the plot. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the event! We will keep tagging the unfinished random NPC threads until they reach their conclusion, but already we know how this will conclude: players who participated correctly guessed where the Moogle with the Black Mage hat was hiding: Cactuar Island. And of course, they also chose the correct transportation mean to reach the island without causing him to flee: boats. Because of this, the Moogle was captured and brought back to Aqures Ixen, to be kept in one of the castle's cell.For those who participated in the event and who want to play out the capture, please reply to this thread. Capture of the Moogle is backdated to the 28th of November.

For those who are new and got no clue what's the big deal about this Moogle: he is the one who brainwashed some characters during the Halloween event and in return they hunted him for all of last month. Given his obvious ties to the Empire, he may have some of the answers they need... Or not.

You can reply here if you want to interrogate the Moogle: because the Moogle can be interrogated any day in December, new characters can also interrogate him, granted they've been told what's going on with that Moogle. You can go and interrogate him on your own, or form groups (which would make it easier for us to reply). For security reason, a guard or one of the four main NPCs (Wedge, Biggs, Jessie and Artemicion) will be present for each interrogation thread.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the event! We will keep tagging the threads until they reach their conclusion, but as October is beginning and new characters will soon be arriving, the new Jobs are introduced here.

• If your character participated in the event, they will get one of the three following Jobs with a three month bonus. Depending on whether your character survived or not the event, how they will get the Job differs. They will automatically get the new Job at the event's conclusion if they survived. If they died, they will be offered the new Job by Jessie as a thanks for their help upon emerging from Crystal Stasis.

• If your character participated in the event and survived, they may get a second Job, though without the three month bonus.

Characters who didn't participate in the event will have to request this Job to Jessie if they want it. These three new Jobs are now available as a default Jobs for newcomers.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the event! At the conclusion of the event the Old Man and the Moogle will tell the Heroes of Light they can leave their Chocobos in the farm, so that they will be able to take care of them. Chocobos kept at the farm are available anytime. Of course, characters can decline and bring their Chocobos back to the city, should they chose to.

Furthermore, catching Chocobos is an activity now all characters can take part in. All characters can make logs pertaining to Chocobo things. Please look here for more details. If characters need to contact the Old Man and his Moogle, they are now available in the NPC Contact List.
